How SyukrHenna started

It all began with a disappointment.

Like many young girls, I was counting down the days to Hari Raya, dreaming of the perfect henna designs. After much convincing, my late mom finally agreed to let me get them done. I was over the moon! Unfortunately, the reality didn't match the dream. For a very simple design, it was poorly executed, and quite expensive. In that moment of disappointment, I made a choice: I would learn to do it myself, and do it better.

The Journey: Talent or Practice?

It was definitely practice! While you may be born with creativity, skill is built through dedication. For four years, I spent every spare moment refining my craft. My late mother was my constant hand model; I would practice on her for hours, sometimes even while she was asleep. She truly believed in my gift and always told me how beautiful my work was.

In 2022, my mother passed away. Suddenly, I no longer had her hands to practice on, but I carried her encouragement with me. It was her unwavering belief in me and her love for my art that gave me the courage to turn my passion into a reality. To honor her memory and the support she gave me, I officially launched SyukrHenna that same year. Every design I create today is fueled by the love she had for my work.

Beautiful Art Shouldn't Be Out of Reach.

My mission for SyukrHenna is rooted in that first experience I had as a young girl. I believe that high-quality, intricate henna artistry should be accessible to everyone, not just a luxury for a few.
